ESC Region 12 offers the Carl Perkins SSA program to schools with a CTE allotment of less than $15,000, which is required to join an SSA. However, the program is also open to districts that would like to benefit from being part of an SSA. The Perkins SSA program provides professional development, expert assistance, and guidance to help schools meet state and federal requirements for Career and Technical Education (CTE). Moreover, it offers resources and information on college, career, and military readiness.

• Technical assistance to districts to align their programs of study
• Yearly updates on the Attendance Accounting Handbook
• The labor market and career information from the Heart of Texas and Central Texas Workforce Development Boards
• Tabletop evaluations of master schedules, classes, and endorsements
• Connections with both secondary and post-secondary institutions
• Ongoing information is available through the Perkins email group
• Collaborations with Convenor Grant for connections of industry to education development
• Assistance for College, Career, and Military support
• Collaborations with local industries to bridge educational partnerships
• Technical support for Carl D Perkins Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment and Grant
• Technical evaluation and support for CTE coding and funding
• Unlimited attendance at all ESC Region 12 CTE training sessions at no cost
• Technical assistance for districts to align programs of study
• Technical assistance to evaluate the district's CTE program
