ESC Region 12 provides technical assistance, training, and other related supportive
services to regional programs serving identified students with visual impairments
aged birth to 21. Technical assistance is provided to schools, districts, parents, teachers, interns, teachers’ aides, Braille transcribers, orientation and mobility specialists, diagnosticians, administrators and other personnel working with students with visual impairments. Technical assistance and staff development services such as selection and utilization of adaptive materials and technology, age and individual appropriate instructional strategies, regional planning for services for the visually impaired, teacher recruitment, ECI/MOU technical services and more are available.

- portable notetakers
- magnification and speech programs for computers
Braille Transcribing Services:
Provide access to the general curriculum
for students with visual impairment.
