When you join our Title IV Co-op, you will enhance your commitment to safe and drug-free schools. By being a member, you will implement a program to prevent violence and substance abuse, promote school safety and create a disciplined environment conducive to learning.
Our services
will include:
• Completion of the SAS application, amendments and evaluation and Regional Advisory Council
• Inclusion in regional prevention plan and technical assistance for developing district/campus prevention plans
• SDFSC workshops conducted by ESC Region 12 staff at ESC Region 12 locations such as: character education, DAVE drug prevention curriculum, drug awareness, bullying/gang awareness and Crisis Recovery Team Training
• SDFSC workshops, including supportive curriculum materials, for scientifically research-based prevention programs addressed in the regional prevention plan such as: All Stars character education for middle school, Project ALERT substance use prevention for middle school, and suicide prevention for high school
• One on site awareness seminar for parents, on a topic such as: alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, grief and crisis reactions, suicide prevention, bullying and gang violence
• Technical assistance for drug, violence and safety issues including bullying and gangs
• School-wide bullying and gang awareness and intervention planning
• Guidance on compliance issues and requirements for NCLB
• Technical assistance with Performance-Based Monitoring related to Title IV
