June 9 Career & Technical Education Conference to draw more than 100 educators

WACO, TEXAS— Career and Technical Education (CTE) is at the forefront of educational reform and is leading dynamic change that will positively impact students across the nation for the next decade and beyond. Career and Technical teachers, counselors and administrators will participate in the first Connect 3 CTE Conference in the Central Texas area.

The Connect 3 is to symbolize the important connection between college, certifications and careers for a successful CTE curriculum. The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 9 and 10 at ESC Region 12, 2101 W. Loop 340, in Waco.

“This conference is important because it will give area CTE teachers the opportunity to obtain quality professional development,” said Chris Holecek, chair of the Connect 3 Conference. Participants will attend several breakout sessions which will feature LaDonna Gatlin, contributing author for the book series “Chicken Soup for the Soul,” and Tutt and Daggs, who will discuss how to manage and teach the millennial generation.

Other topics will include Real Time Podcasting, Digital Graphics and Multimedia Classes and Project-based Ideas for Business Computer Information Systems/Business Imaging Management Multimedia classes.
