Assistive Technology Cluster Conference to be Held
July 28 - 30, 2009 at ESC Region 10
DALLAS, TEXAS - Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12 is proud to co-sponsor the 2009 Assistive Technology Cluster Conference (ATCC). ATCC is sponsored through the cooperative efforts of nine education service centers and The Texas Assistive Technology Network, a leadership function of the Texas Education Agency. The hosting regions include: Region 7, Region 8, Region 9, Region 10, Region 11, Region 12, Region 14, Region 17, and Region 18. The conference will be held this year at the Region 10 Education Service Center in Dallas.
ATCC has a Texas reputation as a leading source for information on innovative applications of assistive technology (AT) for persons with disabilities. The 2009 Conference builds on a tradition of providing a comprehensive examination of the most current uses of technology by persons with disabilities and the professionals who work with them. A variety of workshops will be available covering:
- Workshops related to Response to Intervention
- Labs for learning software applications
- Communication Topics
- Topics of interest to occupational and physical therapists
- Topics related to working with students with autism
- Topics related to working with Low and High Incidence Special Populations
- Vendor presentations

ATCC has been approved by TSHA for 14 clock hours credit and TPTA for 1.4 CEUs (equivalent to 14 clock hours)
